Makerspaces in Action

Students from two SI courses will describe and reflect on their experiences creating Makerspaces for adults and children. Some of these Makerspaces include writing different kinds of poetry, creating quizzes for participants to play, and writing political post cards to elected officials.

Brynn Rabinowitz
Brynn Rabinowitz was born in Hagerstown, Maryland. Brynn has one sibling. Her younger brother is named Jamie. He is on the Autistic Spectrum and is one of the reasons that Brynn understands people of all abilities. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Oswego with a BS in Adolescence Education, English, and a BA in English in 2011. Brynn currently attends Pratt Institute. She is a part of SILS and the LMS program. Brynn currently works at Hommocks Middle School as a Teacher Aide (6th Grade Social Studies) and at Larchmont Temple as a Second Grade Teacher.

MSLIS student from Mayag├╝ez, PR. Main interests lie in combining archiving and the digital humanities with Latin American studies. Currently, she is working as a Library Reference and Archives Assistant at the Center for Puerto Rican Studies. She is also interning at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Hamm Archives and at the CUNY TV Library & Archives.
